It was after her 45th birthday that she welcomed to her life fraternal twin, Eden and Savannah, in February 2007.

She regrets to have waited so long to start a family. Soon after her wedding in 2006 with stockbroker Tom Mahoney, the actress underwent in vitro fertilization. "I wanted to have kids in my 30s but just couldn't get it together. I don't think people want to wait. I wish I'd met my husband earlier," explained Cross.

Her fear is not living long enough to guide her little ones through life. For her, it is not about looking young but simple math and the natural process of life. However, she is delighted to have experience motherhood because it shook her world for the better. She never imagined how phenomenal it felt as if she was madly in love.

9. Iman Abdulmajid, 45

The model and entrepreneur became a mother in 1978 when she gave birth to Zulekha Haywood during her marriage with American basketball player Spencer Haywood. However, fashion beauty wedded English musician David Bowie in 1992, and the couple really wished to have a babe; in fact, they tried to conceive for a decade.

Therefore, when they found out about the pregnancy, both were over the moon. According to what Bowie once said, it was a patient and long wait, but they wanted to make sure that the circumstances were correct, so they felt the time her daughter arrived was just wonderful not only in the singer's life but also in the model's.

Alexandria Zahra Jones was born in August 2000 when Iman had already turned 45. Sadly for the girl, her dad passed away when she was 16 years old. Nowadays, the gorgeous young girl is already an adult legally and has a promising future. Only time will tell if she wants to follow in her mother or father's footsteps.

3. Kenya Moore, 47

The American actress and TV personality, better known for participating in Real Wives of Atlanta and being Miss USA 1993, announced in April this year that she and her husband, businessman Marc Daly, were expecting. Nothing strange if it wasn't because the also model is 47 years old.

Kenya once reported that everything was okay and healthy with the pregnancy and that she was taking care of herself as much as she could. Surprisingly, the couple did not want to know the sex of the baby until the birth and chose a unisex name with a special meaning for them. However, they decided to keep it secret.

The lucky couple became parents on November 9 when their daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, was born. Now we know that the first name is because that was the place where Moore met her husband, and Doris is after her late grandmother.

4. Kelly Preston, 47

The American actress and her husband, John Travolta, had the worst time of their lives when their son, Jett Travolta, passed away during a family vacation in 2009 due to a deadly seizure. They tried it for a couple of years but lost any hope of conceiving. Despite all odds, in 2010, Benjamin Travolta was born when Kelly was 47 and John was 52. The actress once confessed they started crying when they found out they would be parents again. According to the dad, the boy brought a new spirit to the house.

Perhaps, the actress from Malcolm in the Middle got inspired by her role in the TV show as a mother of five because, in real life, Jane also has a large family with three children. Shockingly enough, they all came to the world when she was in her 40s.

At the age of 43, Kaczmarek and her husband, actor Bradley Whitford, had Frances Genevieve. At 44, they welcomed George Edward, and the last one, Mary Louisa was born just before she turned 48. The actress and her former husband, French actor Olivier Martinez, became parents of Maceo Robert Martinez. Halle learned to never say never because there were two things she swore she would never do again: to have another baby and to remarry. But she owes the miracle to Nahla, who had been praying for a sibling for a year.

7. Rachel Weisz, 48

The British-American beauty and her husband, agent 007 Daniel Craig, heralded formally the pregnancy of a daughter in September of this year but admitted it back in April during an interview with The New York Times. Both actors have children from previous marriages.

Rachel is the proud mom of 12-year-old Henry, whom she had with producer Darren Aronofsky. Daniel had a daughter with Fiona Loudon. Despite having experienced parenthood, the couple is happy to have a little human, as Rachel indicated, and cannot wait to meet her or him; it is still a mystery.

8. Beverly D'Angelo, 49

If you thought that the previous cases were astonishing enough, wait to hear the one of the American actress and singer. Beverly had twins, Anton James and Olivia Rose, at the age of 49; their father, Al Pacino, was 60. They met each other, and after three months, the actor told her that wanted her to be the mother of his children.

Therefore, Beverly got pregnant at 48, had the babies six weeks after turning 49, but sadly, became a single parent at 51. The actors broke up in 2003 and ended up in a custody battle. Fortunately, they reached an agreement to bring the twins up together for their own sake.

9. Janet Jackson, 50

The famous singer has been in the spotlight since she was seven, and even though she has had a long, impressive, and successful career, she confessed being truly happy at 50 when she became a mother for the first time. Michael Jackson's sister made headlines in 2016 when the pregnancy was revealed.

The world even thought that it was impossible to have a baby at that age. Janet and her husband at that time, Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, were planning a family, so the singer had to postpone a scheduled tour after the discovery of the pregnancy.

She had to rest following the doctor's orders, and in January 2017, Janet gave birth to a son, Eissa Al Mana. Although her marriage was over a couple of months after the birth, her son has shown her that love is limitless. "Holding my baby in my arms, I am at peace. I am blessed. I feel bliss," said Jackson in an interview this May.

10. Brigitte Nielsen, 54

There must be something in her Danish blood, but the model became a mother for the fifth time in her mid-50s. Just a couple of months ago in June, the reality TV personality gave birth to her first daughter named Frida. Shockingly enough, the nativity occurred only a month before her 55th birthday.

She resorted to in vitro fertilization to have her youngest child, but 80% of the time, it doesn't work, so it was a long wait for her. Brigitte and her 39-year-old husband, Mattia Dessi, are thrilled to finally have their princess. "It's been a long road, and so worth it. We've never been more in love," stated the mom.
