4 Ways Meghan Markle's Believed To Fight Spoiling Her Future Child

After months of speculation, Meghan and Prince Harry finally announced their pregnancy through a Kensington Palace official statement, and fans of the couple could not have been more excited about the future royal child who will be joining the royal family in the spring of 2019. People are already taking bets on the baby’s name.

On another note, it will be refreshing to see an American woman raising a child, and since Markle did not grow up with the opulence of life inside a palace, we’re sure that her parenting style is going to be much more hands-on than other royal women. She will probably take the lead from Kate Middleton who has been very involved in her child's life.

Raising a royal baby

The newlywed couple must be over the moon while expecting their baby, and we have seen proof that Harry is just enamored by his pregnant wife. Their lovely-dovely displays of affection have not lessened after walking down the aisle, and we think that they are the perfect example of a fairy-tale couple smitten with each other.

However, they must also be discussing their parenting ideas and opinions every day because their upbringing was very different. The Duke of Sussex will probably have to guide his wife on several matters, but that does not mean that Meghan is going to take a backseat when it comes to motherhood, and her close relationship with her own mother is evidence of this.

First, let’s discuss the new baby a bit. This child will be considered of “minor” royal because he is not directly in line to the throne. Much like Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, he or she will probably be expected to find a real job or to handle certain affairs that have nothing to with the official events that the main royals take care of.

It is also very possible that the new baby might not be considered a prince or princess at all. In fact, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were given their titles by their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, but in olden times, Prince George, who is in line to the throne, was the only one that received that title because he is Prince William and Kate’s firstborn.

Ready for the child

Regardless, Markle is very much looking forward to her first child, according to palace insider and royal commentator Omid Scobie. He was one of the journalists that followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their very first royal tour. The reporter told US Weekly that Harry and Meghan had devised a plan to make that their kids grow up humble.

“Meghan will take her kids on a subway. They’ll have chores, and jobs one day. They won’t be spoiled.”

The former actress wants her child to grow up with “the values of normal life”, which is probably because of her own childhood. Moreover, the couple has stated in the past that are going to do that same as Zara and Peter Philips, who refused any royal titles for their kids. This decision ensured that Princess Anne’s children grew up relatively normal.

Furthermore, this way the kids were kept from the spotlight, unlike their cousins. Prince Andrew asked his mother for royal titles for both of his children, Beatrice and Eugenie, when they came into the world. According to a source from The Sunday Times, “That word ‘normal’ looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child’s future.”

A different life from George, Charlotte, and Louis

Even though, growing up without a title means that their kids might be more normal, we also have to admit that they are still going to be raised with all kinds of privileges. However, their parents are looking forward to working full time on charities, so their children will at least understand that they are lucky to be missing nothing.

We know that Prince Harry is doing this because he was inspired by his own childhood and his mother, Diana, even though she died when he was so young. His parenting style is going to be a tribute to the Princess of Wales because, before her demise in 1997, she did everything she could to give her children ordinary experiences like going to amusement parks and eating McDonald’s.

An insider revealed to Entertainment Tonight that, “Meghan and Harry, who want to use their platform and profile to further their humanitarian and charitable interests, want to pass on those same values to their children. They plan to spend a considerable amount of time in their Cotswold home and Doria will have a prominent role in their family as the children’s grandmother.”

Meghan’s upbringing

The former actress was obviously raised differently than her husband, and she talks about it often. She grew up in Los Angeles, and even though her family was not wealthy, they were very comfortable. Her mother, Doria, inspired her to think of the people in unfortunate situations all the time. She was a social worker and yoga instructor.

Additionally, her mother and Meghan would volunteer at soup kitchens, giving food to the homeless, when she was in her teenage years. The Duchess of Sussex wrote about her mother in the book The Game Changers, “I started working at a soup kitchen in Skid Row of Los Angeles when I was 13 years old, and the first day I felt really scared.”

“I was young, and it was rough and raw down there, and though I was with a great volunteer group, I just felt overwhelmed. I remember one of my mentors (Mrs. Maria Pollia) told me that ‘life is about putting others’ needs above your own fears’. That has always stayed with me.”

One thing is clear, Meghan Markle was definitely meant to be Harry’s wife. We cannot imagine another person taking on this role and accompanying the Prince in his charity work. She reminds us of Grace Kelly in many ways. We would like to know your opinion so leave a comment below, and share this article with all your friends who enjoy knowing about the royal family.
