8 Times MCU Actors Accidentally Spilled ‘Avengers 4’ Facts
Being part of the MCU is not to be taken lightly. You have the opportunity to earn millions of dollars, but you also have to be careful while talking about the movies because they are connected. After the events of Infinity War, fans are dissecting every word actors say about the next film, and some of them slipped a couple of times. Here is a list of those moments, so let’s dive in.
1. Tom Holland’s little mistake
Some of the best fan theories regarding Avengers 4 is the fact that the Quantum Realm will play a huge role in getting our heroes back from wherever they went after Thanos’ snap. Holland, who plays Spider-Man, might have accidentally confirmed this theory in an interview alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange.
They were talking about their dialogue in the next installment, and the actor said, “He has the most difficult lines. He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm stuff. I just have to talk about, 'Yeah, man, that's awesome!'" However, some fan speculates that it could be a red herring that Kevin Feige is using to trick fans since Tom has been known to slip up before.
2. All hail the Queen
Angela Bassett revealed that Ramonda and Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, survived the infamous snap. She was asked about it during the promotions of Mission Impossible: Fallout, and she said, “No. Neither did my daughter. Shuri, she's a bright girl there in Wakanda." We had been worried about them since the end of the movie because we never saw what happened.
The Russo brothers have been telling fans which off-screen characters survived, like Aunt May, and which people are gone like Betty Ross and Lady Sif. At least, with Ramonda and Shuri intact, they can work towards maintaining Wakanda and looking for a solution to this whole mess. Furthermore, they are going to do everything in their power to bring T’Challa.
3. A group of Marvel woman
Actress Pom Klementieff was asked about the #MeToo movement during an interview with Paper Magazine, and it seemed like she revealed a tiny detail about an upcoming grouping between Captain Marvel, Okoye and her. “I remember Brie Larsen coming to me and Danai Gurira on the set of The Avengers.”
“She told me about the [Time's Up] letter to sign and I found it really amazing to have all these women — and men too — together in fighting for a better world."
Most of the Guardians of the Galaxy were turned to dust during Thanos’ snap, including Mantis, but due to the actress’ comments, we can confirm that the character will be back for the next movie. It’s going to be an epic showdown with some of the most fearsome women in the MCU, and it’s also not a flashback moment since they have never met before.
4. A happily ever after?
We have yet to see any confirmation regarding Robert Downey Jr.’s exit from the MCU because of his expiring contract, but there is a high probability that Iron Man will die in the next film. The only good thing is the fact that he will, at least, get to see Pepper Potts again. We know this because Gwyneth Paltrow posted a picture on Instagram in September 2018.
She was on the set of the Avengers 4 reshoots and appears smiling next to Downey Jr. Therefore, we can dream that maybe the writer will decide to give this couple their much needed happily ever after instead of killing Tony Stark completely. Right now, it’s looking hard because he was left on Titan without a way to get back to Earth.
5. Back to the beginning
The same day Paltrow posted that spoiler photo on Instagram, Chris Evans took to Twitter with a picture next to his dog, Dodger, which he adopted after filming Gifted. This is a minor spoiler, but fans could not help but notice that his facial hair is gone, meaning that we get to see Captain America back to is clean-cut days.
Furthermore, he captioned the picture with “Senior Year #A4”, which implies that he is “graduating” from the MCU because of his expiring contract. However, this picture also fueled the flames of another fan theory that states that Steve Rogers will be sent back in time to end up with Peggy Carter, instead of getting killed in his final Marvel film.
7. Sebastian Stan has slipped up a lot
The actor accidentally revealed that Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer from Ant-Man and The Wasp were definitely going to appear in Avengers 4, as well as Samuel L. Jackson. The actor told the Independent, “There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. It took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there.”
“You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there."
It’s safe to assume that since all those characters were dusted by Thanos, they are going to bring them back, or else, this might be a huge indication that time travel is the key to saving the world from the Infinity Stones. Moreover, the fact that Douglas and Pfeiffer are significant players in the next movie indicates that the theories about the Quantum Realm might also be correct.
8. A fight among the stars
Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, is the reason for our heroes’ downfall, but the post-credit scene of Infinity War showed us a possible beacon of hope when Nick Fury paged Captain Marvel, and her movie will be released before Avengers 4. Brolin apparently stated that there was a big scene with him and Brie Larson, who plays Carol Danvers.
However, he also said that there were other characters in the same scene like War Machine, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Captain America. This is also considered a minor spoiler because there are only a couple of superheroes left since the snap, so they have to use everyone available. We already expected to see them in the next film.
What did you think of the tiny spoilers revealed by Marvel actors? We cannot imagine how hard it must be for them to keep the plot a secret. Have they told their families what happens next?
