10 Effective Advices How To Get Rid Of Acne For Good

We all have various skin tones and conditions. Not only do our hormones determine what type of texture we'll have, the weather has a large part to play in that role. Sometimes we can break out in horrible rashes from the heat or get an epidemic of pimples which are definitely challenging and stressful, to say the least! They say that beauty has its price and takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

There is only one effective way to get rid of these little critters without harming your skin or making those unsightly sores look ten times worse, and that means avoiding scratching or popping them. Here are a few handy hints to solve that terrible problem and making sure to keep your skin looking healthy and clear.

Let us start with the basics

When it comes to getting rid of those unwanted zits overnight, the expert dermatologists have found the solution to our problems. We've all had to deal with those humongous pimples from time to time, and if there is one thing we all have in common, that's popping them.

We certainly can't be impatient when it comes to these situations, but there is a quick solution. Fiddling with them will definitely not do you any favors, as this may lead to unwanted scarring, or cause your pimple to look even worse. That is the very last thing you want!

So, if you want to heal a pimple overnight successfully, take the expert's advice when it comes to those suggestions. Prevention is better than cure, and this will ensure a smoother, healthier appearance. All you need to do is cleanse your face twice a day and make sure to moisturize it with the right treatments for your skin type.

Cleansing your face with any moisturizer is a bad idea, so make sure everything you use is compatible with your specific skin type. This will ensure that those zits shrink and disappear! There are a few methods however to speed up the process.

Start by cleansing your skin

"Finding a great soap-free, non-irritant cleanser is going to be the most important step in healing a pimple overnight," said Dr. Paul Dean from Grossmont Dermatology Medical Clinic who is a board-certified dermatologist. Make sure to wash the area and gently exfoliating with a washcloth. This will ensure that all the bacteria is removed and your pores are thoroughly cleaned.

The second step is to moisturize

"You'll want to apply a light oil-free moisturizer onto the skin that will moisturize without clogging pores," Dr. Dean suggested. Then added, "It's important to keep the skin moisturized."

Choosing the right spot treatment for you

"It's best to find a spot treatment that is non-abrasive and hydrating to the area, but can work fast and clear up redness and irritation," Dr. Dean said. You have to look for ingredients such as soothing green tea and dipotassium glycyrrhizate because this will calm the molecules from licorice, and help with redness.

Always be cautious when using spot treatments

"It's OK to use a spot treatment with salicylic or Benzoyl peroxide, but keep in mind that it may make your pimple look like a scab in the morning," recommended Erum Ilyas, MD, MBE, FAAD who is a board-certified dermatologist. Something simple like accidentally scraping it off and then washing your face could easily cause you to land up in a "bloodier" mess than before.

Get advice from your dermatologist about corticosteroid injections

"To heal a pimple overnight, your best bet is to go see your dermatologist for a corticosteroid injection," said Susan Bard, MD, of Manhattan Dermatology Specialists who is a board-certified dermatologist.

Natural remedies you can use at home to reduce redness and inflammation

"At-home remedies include icing the area to decrease redness and inflammation, and applying acne medication (OTC or Rx) mixed with hydrocortisone as a spot treatment," Bard suggested. Although these DIY treatments are unlikely to resolve a pimple overnight, they are excellent to speed up the resolution and prevent future break-outs.

Opt for polysporin or an antibiotic cream

"I usually goop up polysporin or an antibiotic cream with a little steroid cream like hydrocortisone 1% on angry pimples," Ilyas suggested. Apparently, this makes them heal at a faster rate and reduces the swelling quickly.

A miracle mixture that we all need

"Buy some over-the-counter numbing cream with active ingredient Lidocaine (Aspercreme is an option), and mix it with a few drops of Visine eye drops," suggested Dr. Anna Guanche, MD FAAD who is a board-certified dermatologist. This will cause a numbing effect due to the Lidocaine ingredient and will keep you from picking the spot or touching it since you'll be less aware of it throbbing or itching. Then, the Visine is also a vasoconstrictor, and this will take the red out, she added.

Steaming your face does wonders

"If there is a head on the pimple, steam your face or take a long shower," Dr. Guanche stated. You can gently unroof the pimple when your skin is warm and hydrated. However, Guanche advised against squeezing your pimple, because it will look worse the next morning when you wake.

Always keep your hands off your face

"Remember to keep your hands off your face," Dr. Dean advised. This is something we all do without even a second thought. It has become a nasty habit, but keeping your hands off your pimples is one way to lessen their appearance. We really need to make notes and be more hygienic in that regard.

So, once you've made notes and used this formula for a few weeks or days even, you'll not only see a miraculous difference, you'll feel better as well! Your skin will glow, and your pores will be clean, and all those disgusting spots will clear away.
