Enormously successful people reveal 7 simple ways to follow their footsteps

Everyone wants to succeed but not all are so dedicated to doing the effort this requires. There are some pieces of advice to follow if you want to have success in life, your work or in your relationships. But first, we need to understand that success is not about having a lot of money, being really popular, etc. Success is about overcoming your problems and achieving the goals you have.

That’s why now you will know some of the best pieces of advice from talented and experienced people. They will help you to set your goals and they will inspire you to achieve whatever your goal is.

7. Go further, think bigger.

The great and recognized renaissance artist Michelangelo Buonarroti once said: “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

What the painter wanted to say is that we should set high goals and always work for them. Is bad to conform with being average, you were not born to be mediocre. If you work constantly and hard enough, you will see the great results.

6. Find passionate work.

Did you know that Oprah was really poor when she was a kid? Well, that didn’t stop her. She set the goals and she worked to achieve them because she found something that passionated her. We all know her as the media mogul and she has had a lot of success in her life, achieving things that maybe she never imagined.

She once said: “You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job and not be paid for it.”

Something you have passion for is the best motivation for and endless effort. Think about it right now: what you are doing in this exact moment is getting you closer to that dream you have? If not, rethink your life.

5. Stay focused on the important things.

In their career to success, many people sacrifice many things. Yes, surely you will have to sacrifice parties, hangouts, fun, but there are things that you can’t sacrifice: family, your well being.

The CEO of the Nike company Phil Knight wisely said: “There is an immutable conflict at work in life and in business, a constant battle between peace and chaos. Neither can be mastered, but both can be influenced. How you go about that is the key to success.”

So please, don’t sacrifice your family under any circumstance, they are the ones who will be with you at the bad moments, when you start your business and have nothing, they will always be there supporting you.

4. Fail is not losing.

Have you thought about how many things do we lose for being afraid of failing? And of course, if you don’t risk you don’t win. A man internationally recognized as a big example of success is Henry Ford, Founder of Ford Motors and he once said: “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”

So, don’t be afraid of failing! Failing is just a new chance to begin again and to not commit the same mistakes you previously made. Also, don’t bother with what people can say, stay focused on your plans without listening to the bad comments from others.

3. Have determination with your goals.

Did you know that the founder of KFC was old when he finally succeeded? Despite what everyone could say about him and about his life, he didn’t listen and also didn’t stopped himself from trying to reach his goal. And he is the one who said one of the most inspirational quotes from all times: “I made a resolve then that I was going to amount to something if I could. And no hours, nor amount of labor, nor the amount of money would deter me from giving the best that there was in me. And I have done that ever since, and I win by it. I know.”

What separates someone who success from someone who doesn’t isn't the talent, is the effort. Don’t give up after having a failure and remember that success is a hard mountain to climb.

2. It’s okay to have confidence, but the important thing is to act.

Don’t be just a thinker, be a doer. Many people are always waiting for great things to happen but that won’t let them actually happen, what will make them happen is your action, your effort, what you do to reach that goal.

Historians say that for Leonardo Da Vinci it was hard to stay focused in a work, he got distracted a lot and that played against him but despite that, he was sure about something: “It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”

If you want something to happen: make it happen! That will separate you from being just a dreamer and you will become in a person who works for what it wants. Of course, that’s the kind of people who succeed in life. The secret is being proactive and plus: keep surrounded by people who are proactive too!

1. Stay away from problems.

As we said before, it’s good to keep surrounded by proactive people but also please stay away from problematic people. Like grandmas say: is better to stay alone than being with a bad company.

Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of America said: “The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people.”

The company of others can impulse you or bring you down. It's key to stay close to those who can bring you good things and that can make you better by teaching you their skills.

Now we hope that this you have read makes you rethink your life and gives you the motivation you need to pursue those dreams that have been left aside.
