Glee: The Real-Life Partners Revealed
For those of you who followed Glee, you're probably wondering what happened to them and where they are now. Today, we take a look at the real-life partners and delve into their love life.
As with all productions, Glee cast had their fair share of bromances, dramas, and breakups. Though the characters on the show seemed to have dated everyone, what really went on behind the scenes? Would you like to know? Take a look at what we found out.
Dianna Argon as Quinn Fabray
Dianna Agron made headlines in the tabloids back in 2016 when she married Mumford & Sons musician, Winston Marshall Argon without even letting the public know. These two have been in love since the summer of 2015 when they were seen walking hand-in-hand down the streets just a year ago.
After Quinn debuted her engagement ring from her now hubby during the London Fashion Week, the actress and her musician-half have said to have completed their vows in Morocco.
Before these two tied the knot, she had dated many stars, and the list is actually shocking. Some of these lucky guys included Dave Franco, Nicholas Hoult, and Sebastian Stan. We are glad that she finally found her true love.
Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez
This may surprise you, but Naya's love life is even crazier than her character's. Many of you may have heard about her relationship with Big Sean which ended in a huge scandal. Naya claims she found out that her fiancée did the unforgivable thing and broke off their engagement over the internet.
Who on earth does that? To make things worse, she caught him home alone with his future girlfriend, Adriana Grande. Shortly after that, Naya shocked the world by announcing her marriage to someone different.
Can you guess who? It was Ryan Dorsey. Ryan Dorsey and Naya Rivera married on the original date set for her and Big Sean, but sadly, this marriage didn't go according to plan.
The actress was arrested a year ago in West Virginia and was charged with a misdemeanor for domestic battery after she allegedly hit Dorsey while on a walk with her son. A few days later, she filed for divorce and is now single.
Heather Morris as Brittany S. Pierce
Heather Morris's love life is not in the media as much these days. She is married to Taylor Hubbell who was actually her longtime boyfriend. Their relationship started back in high school but was put on hold when she decided to pursue an acting career in California.
She also went to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and soon, the couple found their way back to each other. Hubbell then moved from Louisiana to LA to be with Morris. That was such a romantic thing to do. Shortly after the couple welcomed their first son Elijah; they had their second, Owen, three years later.
Leah Michelle as Rachel Berry
Many fans know that Rachel not only dated Finn on screen but also in real life. Leah Michelle and Cory Monteith had been dating since the show first began. In 2012, the couple officially announced their relationship by saying:
"One day we just looked at each other and we were like, 'You wanna do this?' We knew."
Who knew that a few years later, something tragic would happen, and Cory was found dead in a hotel room. Apparently, he struggled with substance abuse for most of his adult life, and it started at the age of thirteen.
He skipped school and progressed into drinking alcohol, and it went on from there to harder drugs such as cocaine, crystal meth, and ecstasy. Five years later, Leah finally found happiness with another guy and announced her engagement to Zandi on Instagram in late April. We are glad she got her happy ending.
Jonathan Groff as Jesse St. James
For those of you who had a crush on this handsome fella, we have some sad news. Jonathan Groff is openly gay. However, we don't know the status of his current relationship. Three years after his coming out, he got into a relationship with Zachary Quinto, and the duo was seen together many times.
He had officially announced his relationship in an interview with Out magazine in September 2012, and stated: "I'm incredibly happy, I'm incredibly lucky, and we agree to leave it there."
This seemed to be going perfectly, but sadly, they only lasted until mid-2013. They never shared any reason for their breakup. However, they actually managed to stay friends. Well, as far as we know.
Darren Criss as Blaine Anderson
This actor played a gay man in the show, though he was engaged to a woman in real life. In January, Darren Criss proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Mia Swire. While announcing their engagement, Chris also said that he and Swire had been together for years.
He stated that they had a seven and a half years of fun and adventure, and now was the time to tie the knot. Mia is a producer and writer at Fox networks, and she has produced and directed promotional content for several series which included Glee.
Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones
Amber Riley is very secretive about her love life when it comes to social media. There were, however, a few rumors about her possible relationship with Kevin McHale, but we're sure those are just rumors. Here is the big secret about Kevin McHale.
He has never dated Amber because he is openly gay. He opened up about his sexual orientations this year, weeks after fans speculated he was gay. This was evident when he posted a picture on Instagram of him cuddling Austin Mackenzie. These two have been spotted together numerous times, and it's clear that they are a couple.
Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans
In February, the hearsay was that Chord Overstreet started dating Emma Watson, who we all know as Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter franchise. Fans, of course, took a few shots at the couple to further fuel their relationship which was speculation at first.
Vanity Fair Oscars after-party showed the two of them together, but they remained mysterious about their relations. They spent a lot of time together in Los Angeles, and the public got to see more of them together when they were photographed at a few events.
Unfortunately, their duo didn't work out, and the couple broke up in May. However, in June, the couple were spotted kissing, and the paparazzi went wild.
Grant Gustin as Sebastian Smythe
Grant Gustin has recently gotten engaged to a different lady named Andrea LA Toma. We are not sure what the LA stands for, but that seems to be her name.
Gustin actually posted a sweet picture of his new fiance where she can be spotted wearing a diamond ring and embracing him in a passionate hug on Instagram. Even though the caption was missing, it was apparent to see.
Andrea is actually a lovely person and is a physical therapist from Virginia who played soccer in high school. So, she's a sporty lady indeed. The two have been together for over a year and are no stranger when it comes to sharing cute and wacky pictures.
Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel
Chris Colfer is openly gay and is currently dating his boyfriend, and of course, the media always seems to get in there. Both Chris and Will are yet to announce their status publicly, but we can see that they are a perfect match.
Chris first started attracting speculations with the star boyfriend in 2013 when they attended the Screen Actors Guild Award together. That same year the two flew over to Paris together to promote Chris's film titled Struck By Lightning.
During the following years together, they both attended many events, and Chris even posted their pictures on Instagram. They do make a cute couple though, don't you agree?
Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina Cohen-Chang
No one actually knows for sure who Jenna Ushkowitz is dating at the moment, but we can tell you about one of her past relationships. Jenna used to date the Vampire Diaries actor Michael Trevino back in 2011.
The couple made their first appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. When they started dating, Jenna revealed that they were very close and they sure seemed secretive about it. They never shared or hinted on anything regarding their union on social media.
That sadly didn't last, and they ended their relationship, still keeping it rather low-key, that is, until Jenna confessed it during the premiere of The Normal Heart in Beverly Hills, New York, back in 2014.
Harry Shum Jr as Mike Chang
Harry Shum Jr and Shelby Ribera have been in a relationship since 2007 and have gotten engaged earlier in 2015 when they were on holiday in Hawaii.
This lovely couple tied the knot surrounded by their close relatives and friends. Shelby is also an actress and a dancer who co-starred with Harry in two episodes of Glee.
Becca Tobin as Kitty Wilde
Becca Tobin tied the knot with her love, Zack Martin, in 2016. Becca stated: "Neither one of us wanted to do a first look. So the moment I came down the aisle and we saw each other for the first time was my favorite!"
She continued: "It was so incredibly exciting and super romantic. We loved being able to stick with that tradition." She revealed why she didn't post any too cute about the man Becca got engaged to because she wanted that to be their special moments.
