Beverly Hills, 90210: Where They've Been And Potential Reboot On The Horizon
We all loved the shows of the 90s, especially Beverly Hills 90210, which followed the lived of Brandon and Brenda Walsh. We watched these two eventually leave the show and their friends through high school and college, moving into adulthood.
The cool, calm and collected gang had a steady stream of love triangles and romantic affairs which got us all hooked, not to mention the occasional flare with more serious issues these friends had to face. Fans were sad when the show ended in May 2000, and we are now excited to see what the reboot has to offer. So, without further ado, let's take a look at the original cast back then and where they are now.
9. Kelly Marlene Taylor was played by Jennie Garth
Jennie, now 46, has done a lot of television work since her troubled days as Kelly Taylor, including the sitcom What I Like About You ending in 2006, which co-starred Amanda Bynes. She also reprised her role as a more mature Kelly in the CW sequel series 90210, which ran from 2008 to 2013. Jennie got married to Dave Abrams in 2015 after she split up with her ex Peter Facinelli, with whom she has three daughters, in 2012.
8. Donna Marie Martin was played by Tori Spelling
Spelling, now 45, welcomed her fifth child, son Beau Dean, which she had with 51-year-old Dean McDermot in March 2017; and she’s already considering a sixth. She previously spoke to PEOPLE, telling them: “I forgot how much I loved being pregnant. I love the connection. You are never alone.”
Spelling was made famous from her role as Donna Martin, and the actress has been extremely busy, filling her time with a few reality shows and a vampire Lifetime movie with James Franco. Were you perhaps spellbound by this actress back in the days of 90210?
7. Brenda Walsh was played by Shannen Doherty
Doherty was very open about her journey with breast cancer since she was diagnosed in March of 2015. The 47-year-old had announced she was in remission in April 2017, and most recently, she underwent breast reconstruction surgery in May 2018. Stating in an Instagram post celebrating the news, she wrote:
“Moments. They happen. Today was and is a moment.” Apart from 90210, Doherty has disembarked in iconic roles on the favorite show Charmed, and the 1988s Heathers, which is set to star her in a remake which is currently in development. Doherty is twice divorced, and since 2011, she’s been married to producer Kurt Iswarienko.
6. Brandon Walsh was played by Jason Priestley
Brandon was Doherty’s onscreen brother, and the age of 49, he has tinkered in directing his last few projects, which includes the Canadian crime procedural Private Eyes. Priestley has been married to wife Naomi Lowde since 2005, and his two kids.
He has survived two horrific incidents in recent years, where he was thrown from a horse on the set of The Code in 2015 and had head-on collision into a wall during a 2002 car race at the Kentucky Speedway. He is certainly lucky to be healthy now after such fatal accidents.
5. Dylan Michael McKay was played by Luke Perry
At 52 years old, Perry seems to be banking on his ‘90s heartthrob persona. He now plays Fred on The CW’s Archie comics adaptation Riverdale, and the actor, who also appeared the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie, has two teenage children with ex-wife Rachel Sharp. Do you think he's still the hunk he was back then?
4. David Silver was played by Brian Austin Green
Here is another guy that swooned the ladies. Green’s latest project involved a direct-to-streaming action film with Danny Trejo, but what he finds most exciting, is spending time with his family. The 45-year-old is married to actress Megan Fox, aged 32, whom he has three sons with. He even gave some marital advice: “Just stick it out."
3. Valerie Malone was played by Tiffani Thiessen
Thiessen, aged 44, has become a culinary expert these days. Host of the Cooking Channel’s Dinner at Tiffani’s, she previously told PEOPLE, “the kitchen is where I spend the most time.” The Beverly Hills, 90210 drama has followed Thiessen IRL as costars Garth and Spelling mocked her on an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
They referred to her as “that which we don’t speak of.” She obviously ruffled a few feathers in her day and the repercussions are coming back to hunt her. The actress has two young children with her husband of more than a decade, Brady Smith.
2. Steve Sanders was played by Ian Ziering
When he is not conquering storms of sea creatures alongside Tara Reid in the Sharknado franchise, Ziering, aged 54, is a proud Chippendales dancer. Would you have ever guessed that this was the career path he'd pursue? We certainly didn't
Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Garth and Doherty even paid him a visit to one of his performances last year. He told PEOPLE: “Judging by their reactions, I know they had a great time.” Married to Playboy model Nikki Schieler from 1997 to 2002, Ziering then remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Erin Ludwig, with whom he has two young daughters.
1. Andrea Zuckerman was played by Gabrielle Carteris
At 57, Carteris is the oldest West Beverly High actress on this list. She certainly is standing up against ageism in Hollywood. If you didn't know, Carteris has done a lot of voice acting for both video games and cartoons. She also wrote a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter last year.
Her column focussed on where she called for ages to be removed from casting sites like IMDb. “This problem exists for all performers, but most distinctly for women,” she wrote. She’s been married for 25 years and has two daughters.

Now, let's have a look at the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot
It's been reported that CBS Television Studios are working on a new revival for the series and we can expect some of the original cast members to reprise their roles on the series. According to The Wrap, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris are all said to return for the new series.
The other stars such us Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry have, however, not signed on to return to the show, though the project is still in early development. It starred Spelling, Garth, Priestley, Doherty, and Perry as students in West Beverly Hills High School in Los Angeles. The show then led to a series of spinoffs, including Fox's beloved soap Melrose Place.

Spelling previously teased about a possible reboot of the favorite teen drama series back in March on Instagram.
In the photo, Spelling shared a selfie of herself outside CBS Studios and talked a collaboration with Garth.
