Newest Photo Comparison Makes It Clear Who Harry's Real Father Is

Even though Harry is 34 years old, there is a story that has surrounded his birth for years and still hasn't faded away: the speculation that his biological father is not precisely Prince Charles of Wales. Today, we are going to tackle this conspiracy theory and explain whether Meghan Markle's husband is a legitimate son of Charles.

The riding instructor

Should Prince Harry not be Prince Charles' son, the most likely option for people, as Cosmo reported, is Princess Diana's former riding instructor. During BBC Panorama program in 1995, the People’s Princess talked about her lovers, and the only name she mentioned was James Hewitt, whom she had a fling during five years since 1986.

James was a cavalry officer in the British Army and her personal horse riding instructor. With an appealing and charming personality, the horse expert was utterly different from the princess’ husband. Let’s add up that she was very unhappy with Prince Charles; Diana felt lonely and in need of a man’s support in her life.

We also have to remember that Diana had no solace anymore. And if that’s not enough, around the same time, rumors began to spread that the heir to the throne was having a relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles (Yes, the same Camilla that is his current wife). So all this led Diana to fall into James’ arms.

What is the evidence people cite? Well, it turns out that James has red hair, just like Harry, and well, Charles is not precisely ginger. But the problem with the speculation is that the lovebirds met two years after Prince Harry was born in 1984, so you don't have to be a genius to know numbers don't match.

Moreover, Hewitt once told The Sunday Mirror, "when I first met Diana, Harry was already a toddler. I can understand the interest, but Harry was already walking by the time my relationship with Diana began. Admittedly, the red hair is similar to mine, and people say we look alike."

And the color?

The officer added that he never fostered the comparisons and that he needed to state bluntly that he was not Harry's father. So the remaining question is where the red color comes from. It turns out that it is a heritage from the Spencer side, as Town & Country reported. Lady Sarah Spencer, Diana's eldest sister, is a ginger girl.

On the other hand, people focused on the color of the hair but did not highlight all the differences in the two men's physique, as The Daily Star explained. Jame has brown eyes, whereas Harry has blue ones. Plus, James has dark red-brownish hair and eyebrows, while Harry's hair is strawberry blonde and has a red beard.

And to top it all off, we have their smiles. While James has the British trait of large canine teeth, Harry seems to have inherited small ones from his Greek lineage that comes from Prince Philip. The only thing he has in common with James, apart from the red color, is his chin.

However, if we compare the newlywed with Prince Charles and his granda, Prince Philip, they have several similarities. The three of them have small eyes set close to their noses, have small canine teeth, as we mentioned before, are pretty tall, and their upper jaws have short teeth. Moreover, they have slung buttocks.

The controversy since birth

When Diana and Charles were expecting their second child, the Prince was desperate to have a girl, so since the Queen of Hearts knew she had a boy in her womb, she kept the gender as a secret until the moment Harry was born. Pop Sugar revealed that when the future king knew about his new offspring, he stated:

"Harry was a boy. His first comment was, 'Oh God, it’s a boy. And he’s even got red hair.'"

This might have been a joke from Charles' side, but a very mean one as Pop Sugar reported that Diana was offended and extremely hurt. "Not only had she just gone through labor and childbirth unmedicated, but her older sisters and younger brother, Earl Spencer, all happen to have red hair, a trait that runs in the Spencer family."

Something doesn't match

Although we already said Hewitt and the Princess of Wales first met in 1986, there is a media outlet that disputes the official timeline about the fling is incorrect. The Daily Beast tried to contact Hewitt due to the idle charm of this rumor; however, his most recent agent replied neither the email nor the direct messages on social media.

It may have been because of the stroke he suffered a while ago; however, there is an interesting detail. The official version says that Hewitt and Spencer met "at a drinks party in 1986, organized by Hazel West, wife of Lt-Colonel George West, the Assistant-Comptroller in the Lord Chamberlain’s Office."

Nevertheless, being a cavalry officer, it is doubtful that the lovers didn't meet before. In fact, according to The Daily Beast, "the journalist and playwright Jon Conway claimed, in his play Truth Lies Diana, that Hewitt told him that he and Diana did indeed meet before Harry was born," but it appears this had been swept under the carpet.

Supposedly, Hewitt also said that he started a relationship with Diana more than a year before Harry's birth. James was also quoted saying, "Now that doesn’t prove that I am his father. It’s just the inconvenient truth." So nobody can really tell if James was asked to remain silent about this matter for Harry's sake; who knows?

A role model

No matter whether James Hewitt was or not Harry's father, something is quite clear and is the fact that he served as a kind of parental figure for both Harry and William. He used to read the kids bedtime stories, had pillow fights with them, taught them to ride, and played with them.

According to Conway, "he was a surrogate father and a kind of stepfather. He saw Harry every weekend for several years. He played an important part in bringing the boy up, and making him the man he is today." Wow! That's a lot to say, so if he isn't Harry's biological father, at least he did play a crucial role in his life.
