Game of Thrones' Characters Real Life Looks That "Differ" From The Show

It is hard to tell another TV show that could top 'Game of Thrones,' the blockbuster program that has become the most popular ever, with intriguing plotlines, astounding scenery, and a talented cast. But if you have ever wondered what our favorite actors look like in real life, then this article will fit you like a glove.

While season eight comes in April, let's take a look at the cast's appearance when they are away from Westeros. We have to warn you that some of them are very hard to recognize because they look so different from their GOT characters. Let's delve into this!

1. Cersei Lannister played by Lena Headey

The Queen's blonde locks are changed for a brunette mane in Lena when she is offscreen. She also has a lot of tattoos that we are sure Cersei would disapprove, but she is still as gorgeous and elegant as her GOT figure. Lena has two kids and is married to director Dan Cadan.

2. Brienne of Tarth played by Gwendoline Christie

The fearsome warrior would protect anyone she swears her swore two with loyalty, and that's why we love her. Gwendoline is also on her way to becoming very famous and beloved, despite having been bullied at school because of her height, which is 6 feet 3 inches.

3. Jaime Lannister played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

The Danish actor is as handsome as the Kingslayer and warrior we see onscreen, but don't get too excited, girls, because this good-looking guy has been married to Greenlandic singer Nukaaka since 1998. They even have two kids to complete their lovely family.

4. Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Dinklage

No wonder why Tyrion is a fan-favorite! His biting wit and his participation in every storyline might be the reasons. Real-life Peter is also very beloved and has had a busy agenda these days, but he always leaves time for his kids and wife, Erica Schmidt. And by the way, he doesn't have that facial scar.

5. Jon Snow played by Kit Harington

The London-born actor is as sexy and good looking as the "bastard" of the Stark family. He also maintains his black locks and beard, just as Jon Snow. Perhaps, that's why Rose Leslie, who portrays Ygritte, fell in love with him. Sadly for us, Kit revealed he might change his appearance soon.

6. Hodor played by Kristian Nairn

The gentle giant who sacrificed himself for a greater good quickly became a fan favorite. Kristian's looks are not that different from Hodor's apart from some tattoos, piercings, and specs. You might think he is Hodor's hipster brother, and the Irish actor is also a DJ and an advocate of the LGBTQ community.

7. Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke

Apart from her strong personality, everyone is in love with the Mother of Dragons, and who wouldn't? Dany is, without a doubt, a gorgeous woman (if there's any doubt, ask Jon). Emilia is also beautiful with her blue eyes and dark mane, being dubbed as the Sexiest Woman Alive.

8. Arya Stark played by Maisie Williams

The little sister in the Stark family is sort of a tomboy in the series. But this is entirely different from Maisie's appearance. The 21-year-old actress is very good-looking and wears her hair a bit longer than Arya, but sadly for boys, she has a boyfriend whom she often appears on her Instagram account.

9. Sansa Stark played by Sophie Turner

Sansa has grown up a lot in the show, becoming one of the leaders in 'Game of Thrones,' and a beautiful one indeed. The English actress is admired by everyone thanks to her talent and gorgeous appearance, with a hair that has moved between red and blonde shades.

10. Bran Stark played by Isaac Hempstead Wright

The Three-Eyed Raven with supernatural abilities is one of the most enigmatic characters. In real life, Isaac is a 19-year-old handsome boy that is forging his acting career. He looks pretty much like Bran but with shorter hair and glasses that give him a very intellectual aspect.

11. Eddard Stark played by Sean Bean

The patriarch of House Stark was a leading figure that was mourned in season one when he lost his head. The English actor is also a preeminent star that has played roles in movies like 'James Bond' and 'The Lord of the Rings.' Although he has worn his hair long onscreen, in real life, he has short hair.

12. Petyr Baelish played by Aidan Gillen

Littlefinger is one of the most gifted tacticians in Westeros but a very disliked one. Aidan is entirely distinct of his character as he is a well-known and highly-acclaimed actor. As for the looks, he doesn't have a Garibaldi beard, but he has worn Petyr's grayish hair.

13. Samwell Tarly played by John Bradley

The helpful member of the Night's Watch prefers to use his brain instead of a sword, and offscreen, John is excellent at performing but also with the drums. The 30-year-old hasn't don't much acting apart from GOT and the British version of 'Shameless,' but his career is on the rise.

14. Sandor Clegane played by Rory McCann

With his scarred face and bad boy looks, The Hound is a feared warrior, but Rory doesn't seem to be that frightening. The Scottish actor, without that scary makeup, is very handsome, and he plays the piano, sings, and lives on his boat without much modern technology.

15. Lord Varys played by Conleth Hill

Varys could be considered one of the most cunning figures in the TV show, with alliances that have changed throughout the storyline. His emblematic clothing and bold head make him quite mysterious. The Irish actor, conversely, wears a full head of hair and sometimes a beard, and he is known for his stage work apart from GOT.

16. The Night King played by Richard Brake

We're sure you'd never imagine how the commander of the Army of the Dead looks like in real life, but it turns out Richard is not that scary with his blue eyes and reddish hair. Brake is a well-known actor who has had roles in movies such as 'Batman Begins' and 'Thor: The Dark World.'

It is so exciting to see our beloved actors and actresses with their real-life appearances. While some of them are very similar to their characters, others are almost the opposite. We hope you have liked this article, and if so, share it with others who love 'Game of Thrones.' Until next time!
