10 Avengers We Will See In Phase 4, And 10 That Marvel Refuse To Give Us
Marvel has hinted several times that ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is going to change everything we know about the MCU. Many characters are bound to disappear from the saga forever, and so, fans are wondering what other superheroes could be gracing the big screens soon. Here is a list of the possibilities and those that people will never see.
1. BLACK KNIGHT – POSSIBLY
Dane Whitman might be one of the most interesting characters that the MCU could introduce in Phase Four. He is better known as the Black Knight, and they could use him to explore the science fiction side of the Marvel Universe, especially the theories that this superhero is linked to the Quantum Realm.
2. HERCULES – UNLIKELY
Fans that love Thor probably want to see Hercules on the MCU, but Disney already owns certain rights of the Hercules character, and it might be too conflictive. Furthermore, Thor already has all the qualities of Hercules, doing some things that he has done in the comics books, so there is not much room for the Greek god.
3. MS. MARVEL – POSSIBLY
Some fans are expecting to see something regarding Kamala Khan in ‘Captain Marvel’, but either way, it’s likely that another female superhero might make her way into the MCU soon enough. She is important to the Captain Marvel legacy and depending on the success of the upcoming film, they might decide to include Ms. Marvel.
4. ARES – UNLIKELY
The Marvel Universe has too many mythological gods around, but this member of the Dark Avengers is not likely to show up anytime soon. Something huge might happen in ‘Endgame’ that could possibly start the “Secret Invasion” arc, but Ares does not have a chance, especially because he just appeared in DC’s ‘Wonder Woman’.
5. SHE-HULK – MAYBE
Marvel could start delving into the story of the Hulk once again with the female version of the character. Jennifer Walters would be a great addition to the MCU, and her film could be a legal drama that would be different from anything viewers have seen yet. Furthermore, a much more mature Hulk than Bruce’s version is needed.
6. MARVEL BOY – DOUBTFUL
The Kree hero could be a great addition to the MCU, but there are many Krees already in the roster with those that will appear in ‘Captain Marvel’ and the Inhumans of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Therefore, this character might have to wait a while before Marvel decides to add him to the Avengers.
7. NAMOR – PERHAPS
‘Aquaman’ was so successful that there is a possibility that Marvel could include their version in Phase Four. He could make a cameo in another film, for example ‘Black Panther 2’, before deciding to introduce him in a solo movie. He could be amazing as a villain in that sequel.
8. RED HULK – UNLIKELY
General Thunderbolt Ross is already part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it’s hard to imagine that he will suddenly turn into a red version of the Hulk and start fighting against the Avengers. However, another character as Red Hulk is likely to appear, and it could be developed because of Ross’ obsession with Banner.
9. MOON KNIGHT – POSSIBLY
It has already been reported that Marvel is looking into the Moon Knight, and Marc Spector could be the perfect way to link the MCU with the Netflix Marvel shows. He protects New York, and he could help bring Luke Cage and Daredevil to the big screen. The character is not just awesome, but also promotes mental health positivity.
10. AGENT VENOM – NO WAY
Flash Thompson might be a little too young for Agent Venom to show up in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he might show up in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, mainly because Tom Hardy would be much better suited for the part than a young MCU Flash version. They would have to change some things, though.
11. SPIDER-WOMAN – MAYBE
Disney and Sony have a deal regarding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, but Spider-Woman could be handled by the Mouse House because Jessica Drew is different from Peter Parker in almost every way. She has fought against HYDRA, the Skrulls, and even S.H.I.E.L.D. agent problems. Furthermore, in this age of female empowerment, the themes of motherhood and friendship are always welcome.
12. DOOMBOTS – UNLIKELY
Every Marvel fan is waiting for Victor Von Doom to appear in the MCU, but his Doombots are not likely to appear anytime soon. While Doombots work great for the comic books, it might seem unnecessary to have them on the big screen. However, many hope that the Fantastic Four version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has them.
13. CAPTAIN BRITAIN – POSSIBLY
The MCU already has Captain America, so Captain Britain cannot be far behind, and now that there is a chance that Steve Rogers will be gone from the franchise, it’s the perfect time to include him on the big screen. Furthermore, Brian Braddock’s appearance has been rumored for several years now, and everyone is just waiting to see him.
14. HYPERION – NO WAY
There are several heroes in the Marvel Universe that are similar to Superman, but including Hyperion in the MCU might not be the greatest idea. His powers and his motivations are too much like Kal-El’s for him to add great value to the narrative. While Marvel might be planning to expand their universe now that they own the Fantastic Four and X-Men rights, Hyperion cannot be an option.
15. WOLVERINE – THERE’S A CHANCE
It would be difficult to have anyone other than Hugh Jackman playing the role of Wolverine, but fans have been waiting to see the most famous X-Men in the MCU. Marvel could definitely try, though, and add him as an Avenger. The X-Men are truly missed in the Avengers films, and hopefully, they will include them soon.
16. STARBRAND & NIGHTMASK – UNLIKELY
Regarding the recent versions of the characters, it would be hard to have them in the MCU, although their antics were a great way to introduce Marvel’s ‘Secret Wars’. Of course, there might be references to them in the upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The Eternals’ films, but the MCU is probably not ready for them yet.
17. SHANG-CHI – MAYBE
While Marvel has not made any official announcements yet, it’s very likely that that the Kung Fu Master will appear in the MCU. They could finally show some martial arts in the saga, and also add more diversity to the roster, especially after ‘Black Panther’ proved to be so successful. Shang-Chi would be perfect for the new Avengers era that is expected after ‘Endgame’.
18. SABRETOOTH – NOT LIKELY
Phase Four might be able to introduce some of the characters that belonged to 20th Century Fox, and while X-Men and Fantastic Four are the most expected, the appearance of Victor Creed is not likely. Furthermore, he would not be a hero. He was only part of the Avengers Unity Squad for a while before Wolverine came back.
19. SENTRY – HE MIGHT APPEAR
All hints say that ‘Endgame’ is going to change the MCU forever, and that opens up a bunch of possibilities like the Sentry. He might be similar to Superman, but he has a dark background that would make for a great solo movie. On the other hand, they could make him a kind of villain or anti-hero that will battle the Avengers.
20. DEADPOOL – UNLIKELY
Everyone is expecting Deadpool to join the MCU as he is one of Marvel’s most popular characters. But, his movies are not PG-13 like most Disney films, so the chances of staying true to the movies that already came out are not big. Fans might not see him in Phase Four. The deal with 20th Century is almost done, but they will probably focus on other characters first.
Do you think these characters might be included in the MCU? Is there a chance for Deadpool in the world of Disney? We truly hope so because he is our favorite. If you liked this article, share it with your friends who enjoy comics and big-screen adaptations. See you next time!
