"Avengers Endgame" Trailer: New Easter Eggs That Might Change The Entire Story Line

The Super Bowl might have been more exciting for Avengers fans than football fans as a 30-second new trailer for ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was released, and it was packed with so much detail that it does not feel short at all. Watching it several times seems to uncover new things, and there is more to break down, so let’s get into detective mode to find out everything regarding this new teaser.

One of the main things to notice is that by the end of the trailer there is a shot of some of the Avengers at their headquarters. They are walking in a straight line with Captain America in the lead, then Thor, Black Widow, Rocket Raccoon, Ant-Man, Rhodey, and Bruce Banner. This scene has to a be crucial aspect of the upcoming film because the first trailer showed it as well.

The difference was that the room was empty. The creators might have edited some things out to avoid giving away too much or perhaps they shot this scene several differing ways. There are many theories regarding this part like the fact that there is a considerable space between Ant-Man and Rhodey, which might indicate someone there that Marvel is not ready to reveal.

However, the detail here that almost everyone missed is the building outside of that room. In the new trailer, the building clearly has the Avengers logo, but the teaser released in December did not have it. This could mean several things. The most logical would be that the first trailer had incomplete footage, and they just released it for promotional purposes.

Many shots that appear in trailers end up not making the final film like the famous scene where Captain America and others were running through the forest in the teaser footage for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. Furthermore, in post-production, details such as a tree in the background to the major special effects can be changed easily.

However, there is a theory that the scene could be happening at the same time, but in two different timelines, and the first one exists in a world where the Avengers did not assemble back again. Fans will remember that before the estate outside New York became the Avengers compound, it was a Stark warehouse. That kind of structure would not have their logo.

This could be taken as proof of time travel in the upcoming film, and there might be a timeline where the Avengers never gathered at all. The Battle of New York might not have happened. Another notion is that the first footage from December is a shot before Tony moved the team headquarters over there, and it would still be evidence of time travel.

Whether there is any truth to these theories remains to be seen, but Marvel has focused on the A logo several times in the MCU. The first time it appeared was after the Battle of New York when the Stark tower lost most of its letters, and only the A was left. ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ ended with a scene of Peter Parker with the A in the background.

The existence of the logo could be a way for the heroes to ascertain the state of things in their time voyages, in a similar way to how Marty McFly from ‘Back To The Future’ used his family photo to see if he still existed in the future. If time travel is used in ‘Endgame’ it needs to be explained thoroughly but also in a simple way for most viewers to understand.

Most fans can agree that Captain America was the voiceover for this short trailer as he spoke about how the Avengers cannot move on. It suggests that people all around the world are trying to cope with the aftermath of the Decimation and the loss of their loved ones. However, listening carefully, it might not be only Captain America speaking.

The first words “Some people” could have been said by Tony Stark, while the line “but not us” is definitely Steve Rogers. The middle part of those words might be another person altogether. The line “move on” almost seems like Thanos with actor Josh Brolin’s deep baritone. Of course, the Mad Titan is not encouraging the Avengers to fight him.

However, it is very likely that he could, at some point of the film, tell some of them to just move on with their lives. It would make sense for these three characters to have been highlighted in this voiceover. After all, Captain America, Iron Man, and Thanos are bound to be the most important people in the upcoming movie.

The trailer could have chosen to pick words from each of their individual dialogues and piece them together into one line that perfectly summarizes everything the Avengers are feeling. This new battle is uniting the Avengers once again after the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Tony and Steve have yet to make up, but they are bound to do it for this common goal.

On the other hand, some fans speculate that Thanos might come to regret his actions and that the snap did not do what he originally planned. If so, then he might seek to join forces with the leaders of the Avengers to reverse what he did. This scenario does not seem plausible due to everything revealed about the Mad Titan in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, but new information could come to light during ‘Endgame’.

It might be a farfetched theory, but it would be truly mind-blowing to see him turning from a villain to a superhero. Let us know what you think about Thanos changing his mind.
