20+ Celebrity Pairs Who Look Like True Doppelgangers And That Is Honestly Bizarre
With so many people in the world, it's very likely that we all have at least one person out there who looks almost (if not exactly) like us. And when you're a famous celebrity, it becomes a lot easier to find your unbiological twin. We've rounded up a list of celebrities who's resemblance is uncanny, and sometimes, it can become impossible to differentiate between the two. Fans are even convinced that some of these pairs must have been separated at birth. Let's start!
20. Nathan Fillion and Jeremy Renner
At a quick glance, the "Castle" and "Avengers" stars look like twins. Fillion even went to Twitter to discuss the matter, ranking himself with Renner as "Brothers."
19. Nina Dobrev and Victoria Justice
Victoria Justice already knows that these two actresses look similar - it's how she introduced Dobrev at the Teen Choice Awards in the summer of 2015.
18. Jennifer Connelly and Demi Moore
Honestly, the only notable difference between these two are the eyebrows. Make them a little bit fuller on Demi, and we're positive that they would look identical.
17. Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Cera
Fans constantly get the two actors confused. "I bumped into Jesse on the street once and he told me he gets it once a day," Cera told the New York Post in 2014. "People think he's Michael Cera."
16. Leelee Sobieski and Jennifer Lawrence
Leelee Sobieski hit the Hollywood scene before Lawrence and is best known for her role in "The Glass House." Although she left the celebrity life to take care of her children, it hasn't stopped people from noticing the striking similarity between the two actresses.
15. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Javier Barden
When Jeffrey Dean Morgan made his first appearance on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy", almost everybody was certain that it was actually Javier Barden.
14. Chelsea Handler and Elizabeth Banks
Banks confessed that she sometimes pretends to be Chelsea Handler whenever someone mixes up the two. "I was sitting in Toronto and a guy walked up to me and said, 'Oh my god, my girlfriend loves you. She would die if I didn't get your autograph. This is so exciting!" He's like, 'I just love your books. I mean, My Horizontal Life...' I was like, 'Oh, he thinks he's meeting Chelsea Handler.' I couldn't ruin it for him!"
13. Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon-Levitt
The two co-starred in "10 Things I Hate About You", which is where people initially noticed how similar the actors look to each other.
12. Susan Sarandon and Sigourney Weaver
Susan Sarandon even addressed this at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in 2016: "I wanna just clarify a few things. Sigourney may have left the stage but we are two different people. I have taken credit for 'Alien' many times and she's signed autographs for me."
11. Gerard Butler and Clive Owen
The "300" and "Children of Men" actors apparently get confused by others all the time. The only difference we can really note here is that Butler is more of a rom-com guy, compared to Clive's usual roles.
10. Sarah Hyland and Mila Kunis
In an interview with InStyle, Hyland shared that, "She came up to me and said she gets called me all the time too," Hyland told InStyle. "She said that sometimes she pretends she's me because it makes her feel young. I asked if I could pretend to be her next time somebody asks me if I'm her, and she said OK."
9. Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley
These two are so similar, that Keira Knightly ended up playing Portman's double, Sabé, in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace."
8. Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes
In 2014, Liam said on The Jonathan Ross show that "He is one of my best, best, dearest friends. I keep getting fans and stuff mixing me up with Ralph because we have very similar profiles. So I've been complimented on winning a Tony Award for my Hamlet, he's been complimented on the 'Taken' movies."
7. Amy Adams and Isla Fisher
Fisher already made a joke about this back in 2009 in her cover story with Allure. "If 'Shopaholic' is a hit, then it was Isla Fisher in the movie," said Fisher. " ... and if it doesn't work out, it was Amy Adams." And she didn't stop there. During the holidays, Isla used Amy Adam's picture on a Christmas card once - and apparently, she fooled all of her family and friends.
6. Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel
The "New Girl" actress would become pretty irritated if anyone brought up the topic. "It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt," Zooey said to MTV back in 2009. "The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike."
5. Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale
Unlike Zooey Deschanel, Lucy Hale didn't mind getting mistaken for the singer when she was younger. The "Pretty Little Liars" actress stated that she would actually go along with it instead.
4. Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard
When questioned about the topic, Chastain told Jimmy Fallon in 2015 that they are also well aware that people mix them up. "We did 'Help' together and that was the first time we like grabbed each other and said, 'Let's look in the mirror. And we looked at our faces side by side and we were like, 'Okay, we look alike.'"
3. Ryan Seacrest and Joel McHale
This mix up is well-known, and it's actually become a running joke that was even referenced on NBC's "Community." In fact, the two stars decided to take it even further and poke fun at their fans who get them confused; Seacrest handed over his Twitter handle and website one day to McHale, and went along with the joke.
2. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek
These two looks so much alike, that even the official Oscars Instagram mixed both of them up in 2014! Cruz and Hayek are actually good friends in real life. You can catch the two taking selfies with each other all the time, and they've even come up with nicknames for each other too - huevos, which means eggs in Spanish.
1. Will Ferrell and Chad Smith

Will Ferrell and Chad Smith have also taken note of their striking resemblance, and decided to take it to Jimmy. In 2014, the comedian and Red Hot Chili Pepper made a joke out of the matter, too, by coming on "Jimmy Fallon" and having a drum-off. They threw the audience off even more by dressing similarly.
Although we can see why it might be frustrating to constantly get mistaken for somebody else, we can't deny the fact that it would be pretty cool (or maybe even weird!) to meet somebody who's a walking image of yourself. The phenomenon is a crazy coincidence, and it leaves us with so many questions. What do you guys think - is there an explanation behind some of these identical pairs? Or is it just a coincidence?
