‘Dog’s Most Wanted’: Beth Chapman Shares Long-Expected Look From Behind-The-Scenes
Beth Chapman has had a difficult past few years, and we can't possibly begin to imagine how hard the journey must have been. The reality star was diagnosed with a crushing disease, cancer, back in September 2017. It was thankfully cured - only for it to return again in 2018. Despite the fact, Chapman hasn't stopped fighting - and definitely isn't planning on it.
With so many positive things happening in her life, from the birth of her great-grandson to filming their new bounty hunting show, Beth is on a roll - and we are loving every minute of it. Let's look into her battle so far and the new, exciting details about the upcoming series.
BETH'S LONG-TERM CANCER BATTLE
Beth's cancer battle has been a grueling, long-term struggle. Chapman first received the diagnose in 2017, where her battle with the disease was aired on an A&E special, 'Dog Beth: Fight Of Their Live' where the pair shared their cancer journey. Instead of giving up and falling apart, Beth found the strength in her to fight back:
“I realize the road I am about to travel will be rocky, full of unexpected twists and turns. But I know one thing for sure,” she said. “Another bend in the road yet not the end of the road. I will fight every step of the way. My husband and children are counting on me to be there for years to come. I am so very grateful to be surrounded by family and friends who have given me incredible support during this very challenging time.”
The surgery was excruciatingly long - but after 13 hours, and the removal of a T2 tumor (the size of a plumb), everything seemed to be looking up. Beth's recovery seemed to be going well, and after three months, the family was relieved to find out that cancer had completely cleared. However, in November 2018, they were presented with devastating news again. After an emergency visit to the ER, Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer - the disease had returned.
Currently, Chapman is fighting for her life, but she's staying as strong and positive as possible. A month after the diagnosis, the 51-year-old reality star began her chemotherapy treatment in Los Angeles - but, devastatingly, her case was described as "incurable" and that Beth only has a 50% chance of the chemo working.
The family is standing together and giving all the emotional and moral support possible. Overall, Beth is receiving an overwhelming amount of support from family, friends, and even fans. Their attorney, Andrew Brettler, confirmed all of this in an interview with E! News when asked about how the star is coping:
"They are going well, but they certainly take their toll on Beth. She's a trooper though and a very tough lady." He added, "I understand that the situation is very serious. We are all concerned for her and the well-being of her family."
The star has since made the decision to move back to their home instead of staying at the hospital, in order to create a safe and comfortable environment.
Beth has continued to push, despite the fact that she's had to battle with the unfortunate condition. She made the decision to continue filming their new WGN show and keep herself busy. And, it's safe to say that she couldn't have done it all without the help of her dear husband.
Their attorney mentioned that it hasn't been an easy path, and that the entire family just has "a lot on their place" right now. But Beth's husband Duane is doing everything he possibly can in order to support his wife. He was constantly by her side through the beginning of the disease and returned to his "full-time bounty hunting" job in order to financially support her and cover the medical costs.
HER CURRENT LIFE
Amongst working on the new season of their reality show, Beth has been keeping herself busy with her just-born great-grandchild! Recently, the Chapman household welcomed the tiny boy into their family - and both Beth and Duane couldn’t be any happier. They were ecstatic about the news, publicly celebrating and gushing about the event.
BEHIND THE SCENES OF THEIR REALITY SHOW
It's the moment that all fans have been waiting for ... Beth has (finally!) released some teasers in two separate snaps. In the first one, she's sporting a dark baseball cap, showing off her beautiful, long blonde locks. In the snap, she's sitting in a car, stating that "someone has a huge problem" and that she is completely "determined." Obviously referencing that they are on yet another hunting adventure for a bounty.
In the second snap, Beth's mysteriously located in front of a docked boat, saying that they're getting closer. She added that she loves the game of bounty hunting - and we are loving that Beth is currently enjoying her life to the fullest.
Like we previously reported, fans were absolutely ecstatic and overjoyed to find out that the production had begun. Filming for the 10-part series started earlier this year, and both Beth and Duane "Dog" Chapman, her iconic bounty hunter husband, couldn't be any more excited about it. The pair was waiting to finally get back into the game, and start catching bad guys again.
“Crime in America is skyrocketing! Criminals are finding it easier to avoid the system. With more and more dangerous criminals running the streets, the time couldn’t be better for the World’s Greatest Network to bring back the World’s Greatest Bounty Hunter. Fugitives beware,” Dog said in a released statement following news of the next chapter in the Chapman’s lengthy bounty-hunting saga.
Although it might seem like the reality star is dealing with an overwhelming amount of life events, Beth seems to be happy and is looking greater than ever. She's constantly updating her fans, and sharing photos of Beth and her husband cuddling up and smiling, looking radiant, and peaceful.
