15 Major Things We Surely Expect To See In Marvel Avengers Endgame

Fans have been wondering what will happen in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ since they left the theater after watching ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. There are a million theories, but now several posters, new trailers, and ‘Captain Marvel,’ have revealed more a bunch of information to dissect. Let's find out about the top 15 things that need happen in the next installment. The movie needs to be lengthy to fit them all!

While the first couple of trailers featured Tony Stark in dire circumstances aboard the Benatar, the latest teaser showed him back on Earth. Fans were biting their nails for several months because his food and oxygen supply was almost out, and they were without hope. There are rumors that all Marvel trailers include the first 15 to 20 minutes of the film.

Kevin said that this was “somewhat” true as the studio wants to keep as much suspense as they can for the premiere. However, there is also speculation that they purposely add misleading footage that might not be real. Either way, it’s almost safe to say that Iron Man will go back to Earth and join the remaining Avengers in the fight against Thanos.

Since the announcement that Carol Danvers was joining the MCU, people have been dying to see how she would fit with the rest of the Avengers. The mid-credits scene of ‘Captain Marvel’ revealed that the remaining heroes had kept Nick Fury’s pager running just in case. Danvers appeared out of the blue, and the new trailer for ‘Endgame’ showed a short interaction with her and Thor. Her personality combined with the others is bound to be interesting.

Both ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Infinity War’ showed that Nebula is not the best team player. She can hold a serious grudge, and it took a lot for her to stop hating Gamora. All she wants is to destroy Thanos; so many fans were not sure that she would be joining the remaining superheroes in the fight. However, in the Super Bowl teaser, she was working with Tony Stark.

They were building something together. In the latest trailer, she was seen at the Avengers compound with the others and wearing the same uniform that most people suspect will be used to enter the Quantum Realm. She might have realized that this problem is too monstrous for one person to handle.

The subject of time is very tricky, especially regarding the Quantum Realm and the use of the Time Stone. However, fans believe that it will be a major plot point in the next film. Additionally, the other question on their minds is when ‘Endgame’ will pick up. Some theories stated that the movie starts sometime after the snap.

This was evidenced by a few scenes in the teaser footage with Black Widow’s rocking red and longer hair. But, she appears in a few with her blonde bob, which suggests that it happens right after the Decimation. Captain Marvel appeared while the Avengers were still finding out how many people went missing. It is possible that ‘Endgame’ will spawn a long period of time.

The first trailer of ‘Endgame’ revealed that Ant-Man had gotten out of the Quantum Realm, where he was stuck since the mid-credits scene of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’. This made fans think about the time vortexes that Janet Van Dyne had warned him about. He went to the Avengers headquarters, but the screen Cap and Black Widow were looking at said “Archive”.

Steve even asked if it was old footage. However, Natasha said it was the front door, and it seems that is true because he joined the team, wearing a new uniform in the latest teaser. On the other hand, it seems likely that he might have gone somewhere else first. Of course, everyone just has to wait for the premiere to confirm anything.

Over the past years, the MCU teased the appearance of Thanos, but while the heroes dealt with his minions, none of them knew he was the source of the problem. Many other things happened for the Avengers; so by the time the Mad Titan decided to seek the Infinity Stones, everyone was separated from each other or not speaking to one another because of ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

This gave Thanos a huge advantage because the Avengers were trying to recuperate, and Thor needed a new weapon. He was able to obtain many gems without much effort on his part. It wasn’t until Titan with Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and the Guardians, that the Mad Titan saw a real fight. Things are different from ‘Endgame’, and the element of surprise might help them reverse the Decimation.

One of the most accepted theories is that the Avengers will have to travel in time. The Decimation happened. Thanos won. Therefore, if they want to return all the people lost to the snap, they have to play with the laws physics. Leaked set photos revealed some of the actors shooting what seems to be a recreation of the Battle of New York, which was the first time most of them learned about outer space beings.

It was an important moment in the MCU, as they Avengers assembled for the first time. Furthermore, at the time, there are three Infinity Stones on Earth: Space, Time, and Mind. Additionally, the actors also wore some wrist gadgets that some people believe could hold the precious gems, which makes sense because not everyone can touch them without suffering horrible consequences.

A couple of the teasers revealed that Thanos has retired and become a farmer just like fans expected. The comic books showed him living peaceful, and he even hung his armor as a scarecrow. However, that does not mean that the Mad Titan is going to sit back for the entire movie. The recent poster for ‘Endgame’ has him in the background but with his helmet.

This suggests that Thanos might suit up once again if he discovers that the Avengers have a plan that could work to reverse his snap. He went through a lot to get the stones in the first place, and he lost important people like Gamora and Ebony Maw. Naturally, he will probably want to keep things as they are.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ seemed to fly by, but it was a fairly long film as it ran for 2 hours and 40 minutes. Meanwhile, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ was only 2 hours and 5 minutes. James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ ran for 3 hours and 14 minutes, and it needed two VHS tapes to hold the entire movie. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ might be that long.

The Avengers have to go through a lot to solve what Thanos’ did, and each of the remaining characters probably has their own story to tell. Moreover, it will probably feature some sort of farewell for Captain America and Tony Stark who are possibly retiring or dying in the next installment. There is a lot to tell, and that requires time.

While they never had the most cordial relationship, the last time they saw each other in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, things got pretty awful. As mentioned previously, one or both of them might retire after ‘Endgame’, especially now that Captain Marvel will be joining the Avengers. She also has been said to be the new face of the MCU, which means she will lead the team.

Fans have been dying to see the dynamic between Captain Marvel and the rest of the Avengers. She is said to be the most powerful hero in the MCU, and the new trailer showed her with Thor. Their interaction was funny, but it could also mean that will work together in the coming film. After all, their abilities are fairly similar, and they both have stakes in what happens in the rest of the universe.

Hawkeye and Ant-Man were noticeably missing from ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, but ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ revealed what happened to the characters right after the snap. However, there are still many questions regarding his escape from the Quantum Realm, but there is not a lot of information about Clint Barton. Rumors state that he adopted a new identity called Ronin.

While it is sad to imagine, there is a chance that many characters will definitely die in ‘Endgame’. Several heroes have been in the MCU for many years, and some actors are leaving the franchise. Tony Stark started the saga, and it might be too harsh to have him die. He will probably just retire. On the other hand, Captain America was supposed to have died years ago. Steve might sacrifice himself.

It seemed a little too coincidental that some of the newer characters were affected by the Decimation. Peter Parker turned to dust, but ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ will be released soon after ‘Endgame’. Moreover, ‘Black and Panther’, ‘Doctor Strange’, and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ have sequels coming up.

Danai Gurira’s name was missing from the credits of the new ‘Avengers: Endgame’ poster, but Marvel quickly fixed it after fans complained. However, she has not appeared in the teasers except in the flashbacks, which could mean that she has an important role that the studio might not be ready to reveal just yet. She might have become the new leader of Wakanda if Shuri is not around anymore.

Okoye is one of the most interesting characters in ‘Black Panther’, and she definitely wants the king back. Let us know what else you would like to see in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
