Why Fans Believe Jill Duggar's Husband Is No Longer Wanted in the Duggar Family Home
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have an insanely huge family, and they decided to showcase their lives on reality television many years ago. Since then, the Duggars have had their fair share of scandalous, but that was to be expected with 19 children. Even though fans are particularly interested in Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, the family might be ready to kick him out of their lives. Let’s find out why!
A CONTROVERSIAL COUPLE
Unfortunately, Jill and Derick are not part of ‘Counting On’, the spin-off of their original show, anymore because of Derick’s awful messages on Twitter. But, fans are still following their lives on social media, and they have come up with the theory that Derick is no longer in good standing with the Duggar clan. The family is extremely close-knit.
All the siblings get along pretty well, and they have great relationships with their parents. They can often be spotted on the Duggar Instagram as they have reunions all the time. Naturally, the spouses of the children are always invited to the gatherings. The husbands and wives are common guests at their holiday celebrations with one notorious exception.
It seems that Derick has missed a couple of events in the past couple of months. This could be because the scandal which got him and Jill booted from ‘Counting On’. His hateful words have affected the entire family, and it was reported that Jim Bob and Michelle had to expressly ask him to stop making the family look bad on social media.
According to an insider from Radar Online,
“Everything that Derick has said has caused the family bad press.”
Jill’s parents are seriously angry about this situation. Fans over at Reddit believe that he is not welcomed in their home at this time. Radar Online’s insider is not the first to point out that Derick has a weird relationship with the rest of the family.
Viewers have noticed that Derick does not seem to attend the Duggar family events and that Jill is often missing as well. One Reddit user wondered, “So does Jill not get invited to supper with the rest of the family? I know it’s been suspected but geez.” Another fan said, “It seems that way. The last time she was photographed in that house, it was at the ugly sweater party at Christmas when JB and Michelle were in CA.”
Another fan on Reddit cleared one thing up, “She was there in February, though noticeably without Derick.” Of course, that was probably right before Derick’s comments. This person also went to say that Dillard is not welcomed at the Duggar home, which means that Jill is going through a hard time as she cannot see her family as much as she would like.
Another viewer on Reddit said that Jim Bob and Derick were officially “on the outs”, and that is why he and Jill have not been invited lately. Many other fans agreed about this and continued, writing that Derick was not happy with the Duggar patriarch either; so, neither of them wants to see the other. Any woman would be affected by this situation as she is forced to pick between her father and her husband.
HOW IS JILL DOING?
It is ironic that Derick and Jill originally met because of her father. This means even more problems for Jill in the long run – if the rumors of their feud are true. Reddit users have apparently found evidence that Dillard’s awful situation with the Duggars is taking a huge toll on Jill. It seems that Jill and Jessa are only communicating with each other through Instagram.
Of course, they could also be messaging each other by private texts, but these fans believe that they have not met in person for a while. One reason for the public messages is that they want their followers to believe everything is alright, but that does not dissuade the rumors. It is hard to imagine such close sisters being unable to see each other whenever they want, but it can happen.
A Reddit user went on, writing,
“They are probably getting together to watch the finale of Counting On. It would be awkward to have her [Jill] there, she shouldn’t have said anything.”
Fans might never find out the truth regarding Derick and the Duggars, but they are urging Dillard to write a novel, explaining the details in-depth.
HE HAS THREATENED TO WRITE A BOOK BEFORE
Jill was always a fan-favorite on ’19 and Counting’ and the spin-off, ‘Counting ON’, but TLC wants nothing to do with her as long as she is associated with Derick. Her husband went on a Twitter rant about transgender people, mainly Jazz Jenning, writing,
“What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality.”
He started receiving backlash immediately but decided to add another message, “‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.” Derick also dissed on Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent from ‘Nate & Jeremiah y Design’, and called them a “travesty of a family”. Naturally, TLC announced that the Dillards were fired.
“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future,”
the channel said in their statement. “We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network.” However, Derick says that the network did not express the whole truth.
Most people would have given up social media for a while after this scandal, but Derick added another message,
“For the record, I was never fired. I just felt it best for my family to cut ties months ago, as we are heading in a different direction.”
Moreover, Dillard said that he had a lot of secrets involving TLC, but he has said outrageous things before.
He claimed that Jim Bob wanted him to appear on the show for free and that the network should have helped pay for their son’s NICU stay when he was just a few months old. “We even requested that they help with some of the medical expenses from the birth that they made a pretty penny on, but they refused to cover any of those costs. It was close to a year before we made the last medical payment,” he said.
Fans were waiting to see what Derick would write next on his now-infamous Twitter account, but he added this,
“Forget it. I’m not going to answer all your questions on Twitter. We should just write a book to set the record straight. The point is for people not to assume things, like compensation or what we did or didn’t have a choice in, so they don’t make careless judgments.”
However, it is unclear whether he is actually doing it or just bluffing. Let us know what you think about Jill’s tricky situation. If you liked this article, share it with your friends who want her back on ‘Counting On’. See you next time!
