Avengers: Endgame Seems To Have Introduced Another Marvel Team

The pulsating climax of Avengers: Endgame highlights a number of impressive moments for virtually all of the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Practically every superhero in the blockbuster enterprise gets a moment, be it Ant-Man going giant-size to knock out a Chitauri Leviathan or Spider-Man eventually utilizing "Instant Kill" mode with his Iron Spider suit.

Perhaps the greatest such moment arrives when almost all of the female heroes come together behind Captain Marvel to help run-through Thanos' army.

It is the unofficial introduction of A-Force, the all-woman team of Avengers from Marvel comics, and one of the best astonishments in the whole movie.

A noteworthy thread from the climax is the different Avengers working together as a unite to try and restore the Infinity Stones to the Quantum Realm via the tunnel in Ant-Man's van.

Much of the last fight works as a relay, with the heroes hurling the Stark Gauntlet from one to another to keep it out of the reach of Thanos and his troops.

Hawkeye, Black Panther, and Spider-Man play critical roles in protecting the Stones, but all of them are ultimately cornered or attacked. Captain Marvel lands on Earth and takes the Gauntlet from Peter Parker.

However, when Spider-Man looked up and sees the troops progressing on her, he asks how she is going to manage things alone. That is the point at which the rest of the female heroes landed beside her, set to charge in alongside Carol.

Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, Wasp, Gamora, Scarlet Witch, Nebula, Okyoe, Shuri, Mantis and the newly minted Rescue (Pepper Potts) charged into battle, instantly making their way through the army. It is a massive moment that can be seen as a reference to A-Force.

A-Force had been introduced during Marvel Comics' 2015 crossover Secret Wars as the principal superhero group for one of the zones in Battleworld.

The team was notable for being comprised of only ladies. Led by She-Hulk, the main team also had Captain Marvel, Nico Minoru, America Chavez, Medusa, Dazzler and many other heroes.

The team was reintroduced into the main Marvel Comics continuity following the end of that event.

A-Force is written by G. Willow Wilson and illustrated by Jorge Molina. It introduced Singularity, a strange and hugely powerful figure who took the shape of a young lady.

The title explored the dynamics of the foremost Marvel heroines and ended during Civil War II when She-Hulk went into a coma and Captain Marvel became caught in the crossover. Be that as it may, the possibility of an all-female Avengers team could have a second life on film.

The order in which the heroes teamed up is probably one of the best sequences of Endgame’s climactic battles. It shows the entire squad uniting to force its way through an army.

It is thrilling to see them all work together, particularly since so many of them had not known each other before this scene.

The only regret is that Black Widow (the MCU's original female hero), sacrificed herself earlier in the movie to help the heroes gain the Soul Stone. But even with her absence, the concept of female empowerment in the cinematic universe lives on.

The possibility of a film centered on a team like A-Force has been discussed earlier, with Valkyrie actor Tessa Thompson saying she shared the concept with Marvel Studios, and the idea has the backing of the cast.

The movie could give these favorite characters an opportunity to shine, with more place provided for characters like Scarlet Witch, Shuri and Valkyrie to leave even bigger impressions.

Such movie would also help to elevate female stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and could lead to extra publicity for characters that are otherwise underplayed in the genre.
