This show has been nominated for many awards and has brought lots of awards to its actors.
MARISKA HARGITAY: OLIVIA BENSON
Mariska Hargitay, who is the main actress on SVU for 21 Seasons, has played her role Lieutenant Olivia Benson perfectly. Her relationship on the show with Elliot Stabler hasn't been the most stable, but her marriage in real life has been a very concrete one. She married her husband, Peter Hermann, in 2004 after they had met each other on the set of SVU. They have now been married for 15 years, and their marriage has been blessed with three children, August, 12, Amaya, 8, and Andrew, 7.
In 2002, Peter made on appearance on the show, and that was how they met, and they immediately connected. They attended a church service together as their first-ever date. Mariska said she knew there and then that he was "the one." Well, Peter didn't know right away. It took a bit of time on his side. He realized he wanted her to be his wife on her 40th birthday, and eight months after that, they were at the altar. Almost twenty years later, they are still very much in love and very happy.
KELLI GIDDISH: AMANDA ROLLINS
The actress married Lawrence Faulborn during an intimate ceremony on June 20, 2015, with Kelli already pregnant with their first child. Kelli gave birth to their son Ludo on October 5, 2015, and the family welcomed another son, Charlie Ralph to the family on November 13, 2018. Shortly after Charlie's birth, Lawrence announced the good news on social media with a black-and-white picture of their baby's feet captioned, "#thefamilyjustgottwofeetbigger."
ICE-T: ODAFIN TUTUOLA
Ice-T found love with swimsuit model Coco Austin and married her five years after he joined the cast of the crime drama on December 31, 2005. The couple welcomed their first child and daughter together, Chanel Nicole Marrow on November 28, 2015, and even during an interview in 2018, Ice-T and Coco are as in love as the day they got married. Although every marriage has its ups and downs, Coco shared that their secret lies in communication. “We found a way to constantly talk, even if it’s bad or good. If we’re in a group setting, and I don’t like something he says, I wait until I get home, behind closed doors and I bring it up. You don’t bring it in front of anybody, you don’t show that weirdness with anybody around, even your friends,” she shared.
PETER SCANAVINO: DOMINICK CARISI JR.
Peter joined the crime series in 2013, two years after he married the artist Lisha Bai on July 2, 2011. By that time, Lisha had already established a successful career in the arts. Before Lisha earned a MFA in Painting/Printmaking at Yale University, she graduated with a BFA in Painting at Washington University. Since 2005, Lisha works as an instructor on design and art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and also became a visiting fine arts instructor there in 2008. The couple welcomed their second child and son, Leo to the world in January 2016, but haven't publically released any information about their firstborn to date.
RAUL ESPARZA: RAFAEL BARBA
Raúl married his high school girlfriend, Michelle Marie Perez on October 22, 1994, after previously being involved with a man. The couple moved to New York in 2000, but life became complicated when Raúl started discovering himself as a person and actor while a fear of failure urged him onward.
“I’ve been very unsure of things since I came to New York. I was terrified that I would never work here, that I would be starving and useless. Then all those things that happen to an actor. Issues of sexual identity too," Raúl said.
Their marriage deteriorated to the point where Raúl and Michelle filed for divorce, but the feeling of disappointing their family and friends kept them from going through with it until 2008.
“It’s the end of something I thought was going to be perfect. She’s my best friend, I’ve known her since high school," Raúl added.
PHILIP WINCHESTER: PETER STONE
Having joined the special crime fighting unit in 2018, Philip and his wife Megan Coughlin had since extended their family with the birth of their second child and daughter in February 2019, less than a full day after announcing that Megan is pregnant on Valentine's Day. Philip shared the news on social media and posted a picture of his high school sweetheart Megan, whom he married in December 2008, in the hospital captioned, “Game Time! #baby2 #strongmomma #soon." The couple's four year old daughter, Charlie stayed by her mother's side, and so did Philip, as they waited for what he called "#thenextadventure." A few hours later, Philip proudly posted a picture of their newborn laying on Michelle's chest with the sweet caption, "Momma bear. Sister bear. And little bear."
CHRISTOPHER MELONI: ELLIOT STABLER
Christopher Meloni, the American actor who portrayed NYPD detective Elliot Stabler on SVU, is not only happily married but is a father to two beautiful children. The 58 years old actor married his wife, Doris Sherman Meloni, 24 years ago. Doris was a production designer when he met her husband in 1989. Christ had just started his acting career and was in between jobs when they met. He quickly got attracted to her after she got to work one day on a motorcycle.
He walked up to her to introduce himself, and to his dismay, she had a boyfriend. Well, luck shone on him, and they met in Los Angeles years later, after which they started dating. They tied the knot on a beach in Malibu in a medieval-themed wedding on the first of July,1995. Chris and Doris have two children together, Sophia Eva Pietra Meloni and Dante Amadeo Meloni. They are still very enamored with each other and their motorcycles.
RICHARD BELZER: JOHN MUNCH
Richard Jay Belzer is very popular for his role as NYPD Detective/Sergeant and DA Investigator John Munch. He has played this role regularly on the 'Special Victims Unit' and even guest-starred on other series. He played this role for over two decades. He has been married three times during his lifetime, first time to Gail Susan Ross for six years. He got married a second time to Dalia Donoch for two years and thirdly to Harlee McBride to date. After his divorce, Richard found love again when he met his wife, Harlee, who was a divorcee like him in 1981. They got married four years later. He got two children from this marriage as Harlee had two daughters from her previous marriage. They are still going strong till today.
MICHELLE HURD: MONIQUE JEFFERIES
Michelle Hurd is popularly known for her role as NYPD detective, Monique Jefferies on SVU during the first and second season. She studied acting at London's National Theatre. Michelle first acted on broadway in 1996 in a Stephen Sondheim–George Furth plays 'Getting Away with Murder.' Since then, she has been on our screens and has accumulated many accolades. Michelle got married to actor Garret Dillahunt in 2007 after they had met on stage during a theatre production at Circle Repertory Theater Company. She and her husband once acted together in the 2011 Showtime cable network drama series, 'Leap Years.' They have not had any children together, and little is known about their marriage as Michelle is a very private person; she even keeps the date they got married a secret.
