List of Celebs Who Are Lucky Parents to Twins
Being a parent is never an easy task, although there are various manuals on how to do it, none of them are right and, the truth is, you learn along the way. However, with twins, you have double the trouble and you have to learn even faster “how to parent”. These are some of the celebrities that went through the challenge.
Morgan Miller and Bode Miller
The professional beach volleyball player/model, Morgan Miller and, the former World Cup alpine ski racer, Bode Miller tied the knot in 2012. Since then, the couple has been building quite a not-so-little family. They welcomed their first son Nash Skan in 2015. Afterward, their second son, Easton Vaughn, was born, in 2018.
However, in 2019, the couple announced that they were expecting identical twins boys. According to CNN, Morgan stated that her husband had always wanted to twin boys, but also wanted them to be born on his birthday, which is the 12th of October. They welcomed Asher and Aksel on the 8th of November 2019.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Since 2009, the singers have been, mostly, happily married and have become a power couple. In January of 2012, Beyoncé gave birth to their first daughter, Blue Ivy, to whom she dedicated a song titled ‘Blue’, in her last launched album ‘Lemonade’ - you can even hear the voice of the little girl at the end of the music, it’s adorable!
In 2017, she announced on her Instagram that the couple had been truly blessed and were having twins. However, it took them a long time to finally share a picture of the two children. Not only were they blessed with two children, but also a couple, a girl named Rumi and a boy named Sir.
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky
The famous actor, best known for his role as Thor, married the Spanish model and actress Elsa Pataky in 2010. It did not take long for the couple to start building their own family. In 2012, they welcomed to their then-small family their daughter India Rose, who is already 8 years old!
Just two years later, in March of 2014, their family became much bigger after the birth of twin boys, Tristan and Sasha. In 2015, according to ENews, Hemsworth was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, although he has stated that he is ready to pass the honor down to the next guy since he is now a family man.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Although the couple has been dating since 2004 and only got married a decade after due to the law, they decided to start building their own little family. In 2010, via a surrogate mother, their family doubled with the arrival of the twins: the son, Gideon Scott, and the daughter, Harper Grace.
In 2019, in an interview with US Magazine, they opened up about the experience of raising their twins in Harlem. The couple decided to move from L.A. to Harlem because of the culture and the closeness of everyone there. They want them to have as many experiences as possible from a young age and not live a sheltered life. That’s some awesome parenting!
Marcia Cross and Tom Mahoney
The clock was ticking for the famous actress, Marcia Cross. According to Today, she stated that since she was 30, she had been thinking about having children and wanted quite badly to be part of the mom club. In 2006, she married stockbroker Tom Mahoney, and they decided to try in-vitro.
At the age of 45, Cross gave birth to twin baby girls, Savannah, who came out first, and Eden. After they heard the chanting of the crying, they felt nothing else but an absolute joy. The actress stated that she was very scared to have girls due to being a girl herself, however, the female bond has won her over.
Julia Roberts and Danny Moder
The couple who met back in 2000, on the set of ‘The Mexican’, has kept their relationship under the wraps and out of the spotlight. Since 2002, they have been a married couple, and since 2004 they have become parents. However, they did not have an easy start, given that their first children were twins!
In November of 2004, they welcomed their twins, a girl, Hazel Patricia, and a boy, Phineas “Finn” Walter, to the family. Nonetheless, it would appear the couple enjoyed the experience, given that just three years later, in June of 2007, the actress gave birth to another baby boy, Henry David.
Celine Dion and René Angélil
The couple had been married since 1994 and were married until the passing of the famous musician in 2016. However, he left a legacy behind. Dion and Angélil welcomed their first son, René-Charles, in January of 2001, who, according to his Instagram, is also dabbling into the music world.
Almost a decade later, in 2010, after a few in-vitro treatments, they were blessed to welcome twins boys, Eddy and Nelson, into their family. According to Insider, the twins have been celebrating their birthdays at Disneyland in California. Although the singer is raising them alone, she seems to be doing a great job and the twins are absolutely adorable!
Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan
In the year 1988, the actors decided to tie the knot and have not let each other go ever since. They both come from big families, according to Do You Remember, and decided they would build their own. They welcomed their first child, and only son, Sam Michael, just a year after getting married, in May of 1989.
In February of 1995, they had a double increase in the family with the birth of twin girls, Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, who are identical! Given that they really wanted a big family, in 2001, Pollan gave birth to another girl, Esmé Annabelle, in November of 2001. Furthermore, the couple has shared the secret to their long marriage.
According to Today, Pollan states that for her the secret is that he always assumes that she is doing everything with good intentions; as for Fox, it is all about celebrating together the best things in life and find the best in each other. They are also quite happy that they have been able to raise a big family much like their own.
Over the years, regardless of any fortune that she might have, she understood the true value is in having a family. Therefore, she chose to adopt her own, after giving birth to her first child in 1996, a girl, Lourdes “Lola” Maria. In 1998, along with her former husband Guy Ritchie, they welcomed to the family, son Rocco John.
After decided she did not need any man to create a big family and therefore, in 2006, she decided to adopt a boy named David Banda, from Malawi, who is currently 14 years old. In 2009, she adopted yet another child from Malawi, this time a girl, Mercy. In 2017, she welcomed the last members who entered her big family.
Twins Estere and Stella, also from Malawi, were adopted by Madonna at the age of 4. The singer then decided to move to Portugal with her big family. According to Today, although she is 61 and has quite a busy life already, she does not exclude the option of welcoming more children to her family.
The Portuguese footballer has built himself quite a big family. Although he is currently dating Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez, and they welcomed their own daughter, Alana Martina, in November of 2017, he was already the father of three when Alana arrived.
The first member of his family, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was born in 2010 and is already quite interested in being a big footballer star much like his father. In June of 2017, before the birth of Alana, twins Eva Maria and Mateo were welcomed to the family. The mother of the children has never been revealed.
George and Amal Clooney
Since 2014, the famous actor has been married to Lebanese-British human rights attorney Amal and they could not wait to start their family; and they hit the jackpot. Usually, almost every couple wants a little boy and a little girl and they got just that, but with twins!
According to Harpers Bazaar, it was first announced in February of 2017 that the couple was expecting twins. In June, the happy couple welcomed daughter Ella and son Alexander, who are about to turn two years old. The couple is very private about their life, and although they are absolutely adorable, neither of the Clooneys have an Instagram account.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick
Since 1997, the actors have been happily married, and, in October of 2002, according to The Oprah Magazine, they welcomed their first and only boy into the family, James Wilkie. However, they felt like their family could still go one step further and went for surrogacy.
In June of 2009, they welcomed their twin daughters, Mario and Tabitha. The twins are soon turning 11, and their son is turning 18! According to SheKnows, all of the children have been homeschooled since their arrival to the family. They do everything, from learning math and science to learning foreign languages and even practicing loads of sports such as soccer and self-defense techniques. From 1993 to 2015, the two actors were married and brought some life into the world. Through in-vitro, they welcomed twin boys, John and Kristopher, in November of 1995.
